Restored ST-J75 for sale. The last thing you generally want to do is buy a vintage tuner on line that has not been restored or at least calibrated and serviced professionally. Unfortunately the majority of tuners are sold needing some service. At the minimum an alignment.
Only selling because I have moved out of my home of the last 40 plus years in the bay area where analog FM reigns strong. Now living in a FM wasteland so get my FM via internet. Although I of course still have a couple of tuners and this one Im letting go of. FWIW--My other tuners are restored as well. This tuner has been fully serviced. Check the notes on the job order that is shown in the pics. Had a mysterious a/c mod done in the past ,,etc. Note service bulletin. Very unusual to even know about any pending service bulletins. Bona fide tech will have access to that and address the issue as its been done on this. Transformer has even been repotted. As can upload only 6 pics the rest can be seen at USAudiomart or I can send . Service manual is included as well. Strong performance and exceeds many tuners higher up in the food chain for low noise floor. See review at fmtunerinfo.com Scratches on top of tuner --the way I got it. doesn't affect sound. Also, as is often done 300 ohm antenna (for dipole) is bypassed in favor of using coax connector. An adapter ($3) can be used if 75ohm coax (rooftop) is not used. Dipole connects to the adapter and that is plugged into 75 ohm coax. Of course best performance will be had by using a rooftop rotatable antenna. For a tuner to perform its best there really is only one solution which is rooftop rotatable antenna as a indoor dipole can only do so much. If you like to listen to FM and have not ever used a rooftop antenna and decide to go for it you will be blown away at the results in sound quality due optimization of signal reception.

Also, do not have the little station number tabs that slot into a holder. Some already in there and depending what stations are tuned in there may be a corresponding tab to utilize preset. Of course the presets will work whether correct tab is in there or not. Buyer to contact me for actual shipping cost before paying and I will eat PP.
