In the past, PS Audio relied on smaller cores with fewer turns of wire. But for this new generation of conditioners, the company returned to the big cores and heavier wire gauges it used so effectively in its popular Ultimate Outlet products. Additionally, the older designs relied upon heavy bus bars to deliver the power to each outlet. This approach worked well in a number of areas but had one weakness. The isolation between connected components could have been improved. Listening evaluations demonstrated that properly executed star wiring is really the preferred construction. It also means that each zone has its own wiring path back to the source.
