This is a First Watt F2J amplifier - the F2 but with JFet transistors. I am the original owner. This is the best solid-state amplifier I have owned or heard, and I have owned the FW SIT-2 and SIT-1 monos as well. How many single-ended, ONE-stage, NO-feedback solid-state amps are there in the world? I think it is this as the SITs, and this one is much cheaper, and I liked it better. (It had a 'lower' tonal balance for me with all the immediacy of the SITs, but that could be a function of amp-speaker interface.) Caveats? It is five watts and output impedance is 15 ohms. I used it on Altec 604-based speakers and front horns, both 8-ohm nominal speakers, and in both cases the tonal balance was very good - a touch lower/meatier than the low-output SETs I was also using. There is a good 2.5 years left on the 3-year transferable warranty. (Last I'd heard, a FW amp had never failed in normal operating conditions.) The faceplate says "F2" - they all do. The manual says F2J; I bought it from a dealer and it's definitely the F2J! Original packing & manual included. These amps are no longer made!
