I would like to begin all my tube ads by saying this. My tester is an Eico ?evil? 666 tester. It seems to be working fine. It calibrates to the line voltage well. I also notice it seems to be a conservative tester in that I think it sets a high standard for the tubes. A while back I sold quads of Mullard xf1 EL34 tubes on audiogon for cheap ($75 a quad if I remember) as they tested in the questionable area, all who bought them emailed me saying the tubes were great and tested/performed very well. That being said I also ONCE sold some input tubes and the buyer that said they were noisy. My id on Agon is JBL2001 and ebay id is hornspeaksrule. Please look over my FB. I bring all this up because I know what its like to be on the buying side. Ive been there plenty of times. And I know many in this hobby are like myself in that money is not growing on any of our trees in the yard. All this being said, I pride myself on being as descriptive and honest as I can be. I dont pull crap over on people, and disclose all I know. However I have a no return policy on nearly all I sell. This is the case as many buyers/sellers these days are less than honest. And many dont bat an eyelash at trying to pull one over on anyone. Payments are another ball of bad wax in themselves. All this being said I hope all will be happy. My tester ranges from 0-60 as bad, 60-80 as ? And 80-140 as good. My tester rarely goes past 120 on any tubes. I have 2 quads of mullard EL84 tubes. Quad 1 are branded Hammond. All four tubes have kM1 B1xx codes acid etched in the bottom glass. These appear to be somewhat desirable codes of production. The tubes themselves look to be in wonderful shape. They do not have the typical mullard EL84 black/brown burn marks all over their glass looking like they have a million hrs on em (not that always matters). Instead its rather minimal. The lettering of hammond is so-so. The acid codes are pretty clear aside from the last 2 digits of the B1xx codes. All 4 of the tubes tested around the 110 mark on my tester. This quad is $140 Next is a quad of mullard branded Fisher and printed with made in germany, odd. These all have a date code of rx3 but Im having a very hard time making out the bottom date code. It looks something like #2c but I really dont know. These tubes still have allot of the dust on em as I didnt want to clean them myself and wipe away any info someone might want. These tubes were pulled from an old fisher console stereo which Im selling the parts of in the tube amp listing. I believe the stereo was made around the mid 60s, and all these tubes I pulled form it appear to be all original. The internal structure looks different than the tubes I listed above. However these also have very minimal burn marks to them. All these tubes tested around 95 on my tester. This quad is $100 As far as payment goes, Im fine with paypal and MO but would rather not deal with personal checks or any other forms. Im not in need of any trades so please dont bother. On the note of paypal, people have found sneaky ways of pitting the seller against paypal even when outside of ebay. So if your new and or unconfirmed with paypal, Id prefer a MO. For those using paypal its always nice when the buyer kicks in a bit for it but Im not going to whine for it. Again I have a no return policy but hopefully that wont matter to anyone as I do my best to test and describe. On the cost of shipping. When dealing with such small and light packages, I will be charging a flat rate of $10 for all within the states. I prefer to deal with FedEx ground always when within the states. For me they have proven to be reliable and fast. They have an accurate and up to date tracking system that is VERY nice. I really dont want to nickel and dime with people on shipping costs and carriers. Its just easier this way and quicker for me and I dont feel Im gouging anyone. On the notion of over seas shipments. I dont want to come off as inconsiderate to our friends from out of the US, but in lieu of all the crap thats been going on in such dealings, the added cost and hassel of shipping, and overall risk to everyone involved. Id like to try and find a buyer in the states first on all my items. Thanks Dave 920-889-1188
