More selling of my tube collection. This time it's a selection of fine 6CG7 and 6FQ7 vacuum tubes/valves manufactured by General Electric and Sylvania. The 6CG7 and 6FQ7 are wonderful tubes - just check out some of the discussions on the Tubes Asylum - and GE and Sylvania designed and manufactured many excellent examples of these types.GE. For GEs, I have a number of different variants on offer: - 6CG7. Early-1960s. Very nice tube. "Proper" 6CG7 with full shielding - filament AND plate shields - O-getter. I have lots of these. - 6CG7. Mid-1960s to the end of GE production in the late-1980s. Proper 6CG7 with a silver plate shield, filament bridge wire, O-getter, round holes at the plate bends. I have only one of these, which appears to be and tests as new. - 6CG7. Mid-1980s. Etched as a 6CG7, but no plate shield. O-getter, filament bridge wire with round holes at the plate bends. I have three of these. All appear to be NIB in military contract boxes and test as new. Unusual tube. - 6FQ7. Mid-1960s to the end of GE production in the late-1980s, 6FQ7. O-getter, filament bridge wire, round holes at the plate bends. I have lots of these. Sylvanias. For Sylvanias, here's what's on offer: - Early-/mid-1960s, "proper" 6CG7. Nifty tube. This is a real 6CG7 with silver plate shields. "Stepped" gray plates with O-getters. - Early-1970s to the end of Sylvania tube production, 6FQ7. As above but without shield and with filament bridge wire. RCA. For RCAs, I have:
- 6FQ7 cleartops. All US-made. Square side getter. 40 available.
- 6CG7 black plates, large D-getter. I have a lot of REALLY nice, clean ones.
Some are NIB (as far as I can tell), most are used. Some have excellent printing, some none at all. It is most often very difficult to confirm and guarantee that a 40+ year-old vacuum tube is "new", so I'm selling all of these represented as tested-used. All have been carefully tested on one of my professionally maintained tube testers (Dan Nelson or Roger Kennedy) - a Hickok RD-1575, a Hickok 6000A, Heathkit TT-1, TV-7D/U. Test results and pictures happily provided for the specific tubes you're interested in. Price? Ranging from $8.00USD to $20.00USD each depending on variant and condition. Negotiation welcomed. Let's chat about what you're interested in. Cheers. - SJ
