I'm selling my beloved and very rare Radio Craftsman C400s. There are 3 mono amps, one which I used as a "parts car," though I never took any parts! All three are complete, though only two have a baltic birch plywood platform attached, with three adjustable cones as feet. These amps use two 6L6GT tubes in push-pull configuration, with a 5Y3GT for rectification, and a 6SN7GT and a 6J5 rounding out the tube complement. The tubes are all old GEs, RCAs and Phillips. I have a few extra pairs of 6L6s which I'll include, as I don't know which are the best pairs any more...The amps were checked and recapped in May of 1994 by Adam Schoolsky at Antique Radio and Phonograph in Fremont, CA. They could all use better power cords, and the RCA jacks are original as well, so probably should be upgraded as well to get the most out of them. These amps put out 10 watts per channel: I used them for several years driving a pair of KEF 103.2s with no problems. They've been in storage for about 4 years, though, so I'm selling them "as is." There are pics up on Audiogon for them: wil post the same ones here in a day or so.I don't take Paypal, but will accept personal checks (shipping after clearance) or bank or postal money order. The amps will be double boxed, with the tubes shipped separately.
