Fertin 20ex model 7 is a high efficient , full range , field coil driver.
It's main characteristic is that it is surroundless. By removing the
surround (which is about the same weight as the paper cone) you reduce
distortion and dramatically increase the clarity of the sound that
surpasses what you get with an rubber surround driver. The model 7 also
achieves a very high acceleration factor. The biggest change appears in
the bass and mid-bass where everything becomes clear and rich with
information that were hidden in a conventional driver.
You can use it in a small BR cabinet or in open-baffle. You can listen to the Fertin Model7 at the CES2009 in the
