Channel Islands VDA-2 + Modwright VAC-1 combo with 1.5 meter balanced VRX-1 interconnects and Revelation Labs Parable umbilical. VG to excellent condition, conservatively rated 8/10 for age. List for the package was more than $1066; asking $450 + shipping. I'll throw in a NuForce U192S USB to S/PDIF adapter ($99 list) if you need it. I am the second owner for the DAC and PSU; cables and USB box were new. Purchased the VDA-2 in 2008 but it's been in a climate-controlled storage unit for two years so low mileage. Everything has been well cared for in a smoke-free, child-free home; sounds and looks flawless. Includes original boxes, packing, manuals, and power cord. Missing the original wall wart, which wasn't included when I bought it, but you don't need it. It is all double-boxed and ready for immediate shipment. PayPal is preferred, and I will eat the fee if the asking price is met. Buyer pays actual shipping cost, estimated at $25 insured to the lower 48. The VDA-2 is a legendary giant killer; just search the reviews. It sounds splendid with Redbook and is 24/192 capable, with switchable RCA and Toslink outputs. Sound quality is warm and detailed, and the outboard PSU adds depth and fullness. The balanced VRX-1 cables were custom built for CI by Harmonic Technologies and reduce the noise floor to near zero. If you still use a CD player, this is a tremendous upgrade, and you can connect your streamer to the second jack. It's a lovely sounding unit, underappreciated because of the lack of USB, but the NuForce adapter solves that. Hard to part with it but I need to move on. 100% positive feedback on A'gon and eBay.
