This is a 5 piece lot of JAN 829B transmitting tubes. 829B is a dual beam power tetrode, designed for VHF pulse and radar applications. They also have audio applications. Several experimenters have successfully used this type as an audio power amp.Four are KenRad. One is National Union. The NU tube has a darkened look, that is the getter flashing. KenRad's have a different type getter. These came from the estate of a silent key ham operator. I believe they are new. They originally had military boxes from the WWII era, but the boxes were very brittle and they crumbled. I can be reached via Asylum mail, or at alphaal3@bellsouth.net.
