Don Sachs Model 2 Preamp in cherry wood. 2nd owner, great condition. While this preamp can be used with either a tube or solid state power amp, it is optimized for use with a tube power amp with Miflex .47uf caps on output #2 and 2.7uf Clarity caps on output #1. Output #1 can be connected to a powered subwoofer or a solid state power amp. Output #2 can connect to any tube power amp and will also work with solid state amps that have 50k input impedance or greater (output 2 will not drive a subwoofer).
Film caps in the power supply. All signal path wiring and 3 of the 5 inputs have been upgraded with Cryoed Jupiter 4N cotton insulated wire. Also included is a spare pair of Takman resistors in a value that will make the volume ramp quicker (if you think it needs it) and additional Dueland wire to rewire much of the internals.
Nice metal remote control. Comes with 4 Shuguang Treasure CV181 tubes and a Tungsol VT126 6X5 rectifier. Tubes have a lot of hours on them but sound fine. The preamp sounds great with any 6SN7 tubes and will take either 6BY5 or 6X5 rectifiers. No phono section.
