And maybe you've seen these amps on e-Bay but didn't want to wait forever to get one? Well, here you go! Here is a U.S.A. power compatible one ready to enjoy. Tube complement:
(2) power tubes are the Chinese version of our 813 tube. (The Chinese designation for these tubes is FU-13.) These are available and I have 3 extras if you'd like to purchase them.
(2) middle tubes are some sort of vintage 6922/6DJ8. (Appear to be RCA, very nice!)
(2) outer tubes are vintage Phillips green label 6189W "ECG" (Also sweet!) Or, 12AU7.
(1) 5U4 rectifer tube. Condition:
Still breaking in. Consider it new because of that. I ran it for a little while to test it. This amp runs very hot! So bear that in mind. I would rate this an "8" simply because with most Chinese amps arrive looking a bit "8-ish".... a scuff here or there upon delivery, as was the case here. These certainly don't leap out at you. As you can see, barely noticable them in the photos, or real life. When you listen to how nice the amp sounds, you will quickly forget about these little things. If you think you will just order one off e-Bay, wait the 60-90 days and get one that's perfect…better think again. It's a long way from China and the factory is not really fussy about how they pack items. This one arrived in nice shape actually. Additional information:
* Power is rated for 30 watts per channel. I'm guessing the actual is around 22 WPC?
* This is a 110V-120V (USA power) unit.
* Heavy IEC AC power cord and manual included.
* Very heavy duty speaker binding posts on the back. 8 ohm and 4 ohm taps.
* This amp is very heavy. Weight is approximately 70 lbs. But shipping is free to you within the continental USA.
* There are two inputs on the back to plug in your sources --say, a CD player or a tuner. There is a toggle switch to select input 1 or input 2. It is possible, however, to run more than two sources. I do it this way. I hook up a passive preamp to one of the inputs on the back of the amp, then plug in my CD player, FM tuner, and phono preamp to the passive. When I switch on the Audioromy, I crank up the volume pot on it to about 9 o'clock position, then use the volume pot on my passive preamp the rest of the listening session. I've never tried it, but I assume you could also use something like a tube preamp with similar success. Shipping, Terms, etc.:
