Not sure of the original list price, but recall they were very expensive. Japanese made wooden (ebony?) feet in a set of four with a gold band round the middle. In original wooden box but the foam packing deteriorated, creating a slight discoloration on the gold bands, easily polished off ( I'm too lazy to do it). The discolorations are very hard to see, but I mention it to be absolutely honest in the presentation. Haven't used it in a while, but recall it warmed the presentation and increased the mid range detail. It has a top and bottom and is demarcated by a gold dot. You can use it either dot up or down and it changes the sound.Actually I notice on EBAY the latest version is retailing for $995!
