Uses: Paints & coatings, cleaners, agrochemicals, textile, pulp & paper, oilfield chemicals This surfactant is suitable for cleaning vinyl, shellac, acetate, and lacquer records, as well as CDs and DVDs. This is the same solution the Library of Congress uses.[2] Only 1 mL is needed to make 2 L of cleaning solution. Amounts between 1 mL and 50 mL are for sale (larger amounts are available). A pipet will be provided to assist you in measuring. The surfactant will be transferred to 20-mL bottles, securely wrapped, and, to keep costs down, mailed via USPS Priority Mail following all regulations. Tergitol 15-S-7 is not assigned an expiration date.
It is suggested in the MSDS to "Keep [the] container tightly closed." and "Keep [the] container in a cool, well-ventilated area." The Library Of Congress recommends storing it in a non-food refrigerator.
