FOR SALE: Victor UA-7045 9" static-balanced gimbal bearing tonearm. Ideal for low and medium mass carts of medium-high compliance. Excellent tracking arm. This was the arm sold with the top-of-the-line Victor TT-101 turntable (also known as the QL-10 when sold as a set in plinth) in the early 1980s. The arm is in excellent working condition and cosmetic condition.PRICE: $450 firm (Only other one I've seen recently is US$768 in HK). This is my second Victor/JVC UA-7045 arm (first one has been sold). It is currently on a dual-arm custom plinth with my Victor TT-801. COSMETIC CONDITION: Generally excellent cosmetic condition. No age spots of note, and no major scratches. Slight abrasion on stainless steel piece under anti-skate knob on top of pivot (on left side (platter side)) but only visible strong light. Armlift slide (the part that the arm actually rests on) slightly dinged (visible in 'detailleft' pic). Put on a table, it is a very clean arm. OTHER: This arm comes with:
1) the base assembly
2) the original low capacitance phono cord
3) the original headshell
4) the original counterweight
5) an additional base ring with a 1mm rise
6) one English language service manual (courtesy of the Vinyl Engine)
7) one English language brochure (courtesy of the Vinyl Engine) SHIPPING: Shipping is worldwide from Japan. I can send EMS (registered airparcel), by boat (cheapest), or by air/land (which usually comes to be 10-20% cheaper than EMS). As an indication, the package is likely to be about 1.0-1.5kg including packing materials, which means shipping of the whole unit would probably cost on the order of $25-35 (to be confirmed after packing) by EMS to the US and half that by surface freight. Packaging will be in a custom-made closed cell foam case, then boxed. PAYMENT:
1) Paypal (payment in yen at then-current mid-rate, buyer adds 4%)
2) wire transfer
3) personal check after it clears (usually 2wks after arrival)
4) Moneygram (fast and convenient, sometimes more expensive than Paypal, depending on place sent).
5) international postal money order (euro or USD) +1%
I am just starting to let stuff go on Audiogon (and AA), but I have an extensive Japanese internet auction history with excellent feedback and can provide the name on request (along with a method to confirm (in realtime) that it's me if you want). I am also a long-standing member of Audioasylum and Audiogon. Questions welcome by email, and I can call to discuss as well (though keep in mind I am on E.S.T +13hrs). Higher-res pics available on request. SPECS
