This is a pair of vintage speakers from Fisher. The Fisher model XP-4.They were made in 1961,..and still look very nice. The all wood cabinets either birch or maple,..still shine and look good. There are some scratches, some wear, but not too bad.One speaker was a plant stand,..water stains on top, they did clean up pretty good, but still some stain. The other speaker is perfect!Go fiqure.Anyway, still a good pair of 'ol school vintage Fishers. They have 12" woofer(ribbed-no-rot),2 mids, (4" or 5"),and a dome type tweeter. The Fishers have rear mounted controls for mids and tweeters. They move freely, and work well.Bought these from the original owners. The grilles are supposed to be stapled on,one has been removed, to show the drivers. They are in very nice shape and fit well.If you know about 'ol school Fishers, then you know they are not meant to 'crank' up.They have a roll off at the top of the freq range, and make more of the mids and woofer,..there are highs, they work well, and sound great, but these are meant for more strings, classical, blues, big bands, singer standards, etc,..very nice sound from these genres. They do sound good also from classic rock, smooth, not meant for extreme power..they are smooth 'ol school sound, very nice sound. These speakers also would sound excellent with tube equipment. The Fishers are a bit heavy,so no shipping.Local pick up only.Email with any questions.Price on the pair is $65.00 or offer.Local pick up is Milw,Wisc 53216.Local pick up is cash,no checks or holding until.
