I am changing around some of my gear and revamping my home office system, so I have a few items for sale. I also have been toting around two pieces of custom built tube gear that simply need a new home. See tube amp ad, if you wish. I have a phono stage built by the same man. It is moving magnet only, a two-piece: one outboard power supply, one the actual phono stage. I know it worked well. I plugged in the power supply over the weekend and let it run all day. It "lit up" immediately [see pix]. It sure looks like it works. The stage itself is probably fine, but it needs the proper tubes, which are almost certainly 12 Ax7 tubes. I’m 90% certain they are the same tubes as fit into a Dynaco Pas 3 tube pre-amp I used to own. I had put this phono stage in a plastic box under the spare bedroom and forgot I even had it. I do not have the tubes, but I’d be happy to coordinate with someone to test it if they know someone locally with the right tubes. It's a very good unit and worked great for the few months I used it several years ago. I simply do not listen to much vinyl. I know, I resisted cds for years, broke down, and now my music is on a hard drive. Go figure. At least they are uncompressed files. Anyway, these two custom units are available. Power amplifier. $225. I was told it is 7 watts. All I know is that it drove a set of 3 way custom speakers rated at 90 db with as much authority as my Dynaco ST 70. And, it was even more liquid sounding. I really did like this amp, but then I had access to a Berning and used that. BTW, this baby is quite heavy. Ballpark: 40 plus pounds. I’ll weigh it. Phono Stage. I lowered to price to $125. For the quality of sound this will be a great find. Feel free to ask questions.

Thanks for looking. BTW, all pix taken recently, not 2007.
