Legendary Fostex FE206e eight inch full rangers. High efficiency (96db @1w/m) is perfect for low powered tube amps. Very versatile drivers with many options for DIY cabinets. I had these mounted in a couple different back loaded horn designs and drove them to earsplitting levels with 8w SET amps.
This pair has been tweaked a little. Dust caps have been removed and "socket" phase plugs put into place. Also has a ring of poly-fill around the whizzer cone (helps tame the peakiness).
The FE206e has been discontinued so these are getting harder to get. Dust off your DIY skills and see what all the fuss about crossover-less single full range drivers.
