This is a Sansui Model 1000A, AM/FM Multiplex Tuner Amplifier, made from 1964 to 1972. The 1000a features some of the best output transformers around and it sounds fantastic. The model 1000A was Sansui’s very last and the most advanced tube receiver. It measures 18” x15” x 5 ½” and weighs 45 lbs. The previous owner replaced all the caps with Russian paper in oil caps. Mike Zuccaro of Audio Craftsman in San Diego went through it in detail, replacing anything that was not up to par, and realigning the FM section. This unit looks and sounds great. All functions work, all lights work. A copy of the service manual is included. I am asking $500 for this receiver. I am hoping for a local sale in Fallbrook, CA, as I would prefer not to ship this unit.
