Here is a nice, new, very strong quad of GE 5751 tubes (that can often sub for your 12AX7 tubes). These all test very close and very strong; as new tubes should. On my trusty Hickok transconductance tube tester, a test result of 875 represents a 65% good tube. These 5751 tubes tested at 1550 & 1600; 1550 & 1600; 1600 & 1575; 1600 & 1600, which definitely indicate a nice, new quad of 5751 tubes. These all have matching date codes of "RH" as well. The included GE boxes have a bit of wear at the top flaps but they are definitely original. These are the gray plate variety of 5751 tubes and they are not triple mica types. These gray plate 5751s sound more neutral than the black plate types which tend to be more forward and brighter sounding, IMHO. I find that the gray plate, high gain tubes, like these, sound more natural than the black plate tubes in our hifi applications.
