The SOTA Jewel uses a 4-point elastomer suspension “similar to our top of the line Millenia” (from the SOTA website). This is a very musical and solidly built TT in dark oak purchased new six years ago at the Analog Store in Raleigh, N.C. Rated 8/10 for age only. The arm and cart in the picture are not included. The table features the Graham armboard,a $220 value, plus the original armboard which was used for Rega and Origin Live tonearms. It may accommodate other arms as well. Please note that the original SOTA dustcover is not included. I managed to shear it off during a “frenzy” of dusting and it was replaced with a thicker customized d/c with grab handles that sits perfectly on the plinth. The original hinges will be packed but this d/c has the advantage of being removed from the table when you’re playing a record –less vibration and greater resolution result. If you meet my price, I will add a TTW Superclamp Featherweight which was purchased a year ago for $110 and regrettably will not fit my new table. This is markedly superior to the stock SOTA I-clamp and made a huge difference in opening up the sound of records. I am a longstanding member of the Asylum and have a perfect record under Audiogon as Tenenbaum16. If you’re around the Triangle or are driving distance from Raleigh, the table is now being displayed at the Analog Store in Raleigh and can be purchased there as well.
