This is an original Black Ayre V1 that was upgraded to xe and changed to silver face plate before I bought it. Model# 4E0001N. (I DO NOT HAVE BLACK FACEPLATE). I am third owner. Purchased it on Audiogon in Sept 2010. I only used it for 2 months because a full black V-1xe finally appeared on Audiogon, so I purchased it. I kept this silver unit as I have been actively biamping my Magnepan 20.1s and considered using 2 V-1xe's, but never got around to it. I use diff amp for bass in my active setup.It plays flawlessly, and is in good condition. I like to be fully transparent, so here are the nicks noted on unit ... see pics ... you can see that standing 2 feet away you cannot make any of these out:
1) Front Faceplate -- perfect, almost no ware to Arye logo
2) Right Side Faceplate -- has small burred front edge (1/8") and long 2" scuff down side
3) Top Faceplate -- minimal 1/4" scuff on top left
4) Top Unit: front right corner, 1" scuff that ends in small 1/16" burr
5) Fins: right #11 and left #14 each have very small 1/32" burr that shows silver
6) Remote: has usual wear to Ayre logo and some scuffs Incudes: Ayre silver remote (on/off and volume only); Manual; original box. Power Cord (not sure if original - its one I got when purchased) Paypal or Check. Check must clear before I send unit. Add 3% for paypal. Ship: will ship only to continental US.
