For sale is a great sounding Belles Research model 250 Power Amp. This is a great sounding, solid state power amp. Rarely coming up for sale. Some of you may know of David Belles. His newer products are under the Power Modules name. This is one of the originals. I would say this amp is powerful, natural, detailed, and slightly on the warm side of neutral. On a scope and it has a damn near perfect square wave up to almost 20k hertz. I installed an IEC socket for external power cords. ( Still have the original if you like). I knocked the fan speed down to more desirable and much quieter sound level with a resistor. I have fabricated newer, better looking maple wood sides for a more modern look. I have the original, darker wood ends. The new sides allowed for a vent opening on one end to run a little cooler. To be fair, I would rate this a solid 7 out of 10 for age only. It's really pretty clean. It sounds quite good and is a really nice sounding power amp. Quite impressive, with nice imaging and depth of sound staging, a natural portrayal of instruments, and rich, clean vocals. It weighs about 35 lbs and I will package nicely for safe transit.
