Winner of Absolute Sound Golden Ear Award in 2000. The A400S gives out 200 watts per channel, for a total of 400 watts. The A400S is designed with a High End circuit with very low-noise FETs. A balanced, complimentary differential input circuit makes the A400S even more linear than other systems.
--Maximum Power Output per Channel: 200W both channels driven continuously into 8 ohms load at 1 kHz; 330W both channels driven continuously into 4 ohms load at 1 kHz.
--Frequency response, 20-20000Hz: +0/- 0.2dB at 1W to 200W output into 8 Ohms loads; -1dBat 80 kHz.
--THD+Noise at maximum output: <0.02% from 20Hz to 20 kHz into 8Ohms loads(<0.01% at 1 kHz).
--Input Sensitivity for 200W at 8Ohms load: 1.4 Vrms for Unbalanced and Balanced Input mode.

This unit has performed flawlessly in my main system for over 2 years, in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. I purchased it on Audiogon with a few small scratches on the faceplate and light blemishes on the top cover as shown. The musicality, clarity, smoothness, speed, top-to-bottom extension and tonal purity of this amp are really special. I've really enjoyed the sound with my BG Z-7's and now with my Maggie 1.7's. I am new to Audio Asylum, but I have several years of transactions as Ucanhear2 on AudioGon. Thanks for your interest!
