This is the original version, outputting 25wpc instead of the 35wpc offered by the Aegir 2F. I suspect that you'd never know the difference since you're likely never to push more than 5wpc during the average listening session.Since I never bought the newer model, I can't make any honest distinctions between the two. I can say this, though: After having myriad amps over the past 45 years, including but not limited to: Phase Linear, McIntosh, McCormack, Belles, Rogue, Classe, Nakamichi Stasis, and others, I remember telling an audiophile buddy in VA that, without question, the Schiit was the most musical and enjoyable amp that I'd ever heard. Had I not transitioned from a dynamic to a planar magnetic speaker, I would have kept the Aegir model. Note: This ad is for one amp only. I do have a pair for bi-amping, but I'm advertising just the one rather than both because I "suspect" most people will just need a single Aegir. If you're interested in both, feel free to initiate that conversation, and I'll make it work well for you.
