For Sale: Sansui AU-7900 Integrated Amplifier. Made in Japan during classic high quality electronics era. Just back from being rebuilt and fully re-capped by AA inmate Freeze14me. With upgraded components, this AU-7900 should sound even better than new.The amp is rated at 70-75 watts per channel. The AU-7900 was near top-of-the -line (TotL) and is a vintage classic. This era of Sansui amps have many fans. The AU-7900 has provisions for two phono inputs, with adjustable cartridge loading on one. The linked info indicates that it has MC capability, but i did not use it with an MC cart and can not verify this. The rebuild is described as "Installed new toggle power switch. Replaced 8 caps, 2 diodes and 4 fuse resistors. The amp plays well both channels and is clear with no static. Cleaned the relay and sprayed all the connections. All the caps used were Nichicon audio and Nichicon PW type caps. 2 large filter caps were tightened and adjusted" This work cost me $300. Condition: The amp has just been re-built by an expert so is in excellent functional condition, the cosmetics show some nicks and scratches - see photos. I would rate the amp at 8/10 based on age and cosmetics, the new but funky-looking red power switch at 6/10, and the functionality at 9/10. giving it a single rating of 8/10. $50 to package and ship via UPS or Fed Ex ground in continental US. $78 to Canada.
