Hey all, I have a completed DIY 5 channel Tripath TA-3020 Amp in a gutted (but very clean) Carver AV-405 Chassis. I built this thing a while ago and used it every now and then for bi-amping speakers.The Amp modules are from a Moto DCP-501 that has the Overload resistors raised so it will not go into protection mode as easily, and has Wima 1.5uf input caps replacing the cheap 2.3uf electrolytics on all 5 channels. Amps sounds very good and clean. I believe its 300 wpc@4 ohm. The center channel has a thump on shutdown, the other do not (too lazy to chase down the issue with output relay. Anyway, I am again culling the hurd of amps/preamps. Pics later How's $200 + ship?
