Nice Yamaha Integrated amp- Recapped and set to specs. Recently acquired this integrated amp and wanted to make this amp sound like a much better sounding amp with warm and accurate sound. Very nice looking case. Fixed and updated the following items:
Old electrolytic caps, needed to be replaced. Re-capped entire unit with Elna Silmic II and Nichicon audio caps. Nice improvement in detail.
2 Main 6800uf 60v filter caps upgraded to 10000uf 70v.
RCA plugs for the Phono connections were in need of updating. Replaced with gold plated plugs used in high end audio today.Speaker terminals have been replaced with professional style adapters. All rotary and push-button switches cleaned with DeOxit G5 Gold.
All potentiometers flushed twice with DeOxit FaderLube.
Chassis metal cleaned and protectant applied.
PS and audio signal path circuit boards carefully cleaned, inspected and any suspect solder connections reflowed.
Lights were replaced and all bios and voltage levels adjusted to specs.
