The Fisher "Professional Series" X-101D was the last of the great Fisher 101 family of amplifiers, and the finest and most powerful of the series.This beautiful sounding Fisher amplifier is in perfect operating condition, and except for a small ding above the bass control and minor wear on the lettering at the volume control, it is in nearly perfect cosmetic condition. This amplifier has been carefully gone over and the B+, bias, and filament voltages are all on spec. It performs like new, delivering all the legendary sound of Fisher tube components. All the parts are original except for four of the preamp section tubes. The capacitors are all fine, and there is not a trace of hum. The tubes include the original Fisher 7591 output tubes, all of which measure a strong 80+ on a B&K 747 where 65 or more is good. The preamp tubes are four new Electro-Harmonics select 12AX7 EH and two Telefunken 12AX7 in the phono section. The Telefunkens both measure 95+, and the sections match within 5%. The Teles have tube shields, (not shown in the photo).
