It pains me to have to sell my SE-40 Special Edition, but circumstances!This has been mod’d by Loc Vu, who is very active on the Yahoo Golden Tube Group ( http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/golden_tube/ ). I don’t know if he did every single mod he does, but he has done a lot. Mods have included replacing the resisters that are prone to failure. It has a problem: loose tube sockets. This primarily affects the right channel. Some times either channel can be a little ‘spitty.’ Removing the tubes or wiggling them in the sockets fixes that. Over the time the loose sockets have gotten to the point where it is tricky to get the channel to work correctly. It either has no sound, low volume sound or normal sound. Tubes are about 2-4 years old. For more than half that time the amp was not used, and usage probably averages a few hours a day when it was used. It’s possible the tubes are fine or on the other hand may need replacing. The bias probably needs checking. I have the bias harness, original boxes, manual, and promo sheet. The boxing is a double boxed setup. The outer box is somewhat weathered and may not be up to shipping. The inner box and foam is in good condition. I’m hoping to get $333 for this, plus actual shipping from 91030 near Los Angeles. Shipping weight is 55lbs, oversized. Cosmetics: nothing I can see from a few feet. This is used. Thanks for looking.
