Very nice 45 single ended triode stereo amplifier build by Howard Stone of Stone Vintage Radio Museum. Two tube sets are included.
The amp sounds absolutely gorgeous, as you would expect from the 45 triode. This amplifier uses 27s for input and driver stages, which seems to add another level of dimensionality compared to 6sn7 or other small signal tubes used for input and drivers stages. There’s also an 80 rectifier(TungSol ST or globe)and a pair of 45 triodes(RCA ST or globe) for producing about 2 watts of triode power per channel. A great match with high efficiency Altec, Klipsch etc speakers with efficiency ratings above 100db. Quality parts used throughout. Edcore output transformers and a solid vintage UTC main power transformer for the beefy choke filtered power supply. I’m including an incredible tube compliment including one complete set of Arcturas blue glass globe 27s, another set of 4 RCA ST bottle 27s, a pair of TungSol 80 rectifiers, one ST and one globe, a strong matching pair of RCA ST 45s and a strong matching pair of Sylvania ST 45s. Two complete tube sets included at my asking price. I can also include a strong pair of RCA/Cunningham 45 globe type tubes for an additional $300. Lastly, I have a NEW pair, still stapled in the box, NOS Arcturas 45s from 1938 that can be included for an additional $400(last image)
Overall, the sound is sublime and the amp is 100% fully functional without issues. This amplifier was recently serviced(2/23)by Jonathan Burns, who does great work and has the amp performing admirably.
