Opera Consonance CD-120 Balanced CD Player in Pristine Condition

Up for your consideration is my Opera Consonance CD-120 player. This player works great and sounds super. I’m selling it because I have 3 players and need to make some room in my equipment rack. (My other players are universal players). I have all the accessories the player came with i.e.: unit, manual, factory shipping box, power cord & remote control. I feel this player would be a perfect match with NAD electronics and/or B&W speakers or other quality electronics. I used it with the matching OC A-120 Hybrid int. amp. I’m looking for $499.00 via paypal andor USPMO. I will include FedEx ground/insured shipping to the lower 48 states. Please contact me with questions and check my feedback on eBay. Thanks for looking.

Excerpts courtesy of review in Soundstage! by Aaron Weiss: "The $1200 CD120 features a Philips VAM1202 drive mechanism and 24-bit/192kHz multilevel sigma-delta up sampling. As with its big brother, the 2.2, this processing comes courtesy of the multi-bit Crystal CS4396 DAC. The unit up samples all material to 192kHz... It will play homebrew CD-Rs. On its rear, the CD120 is equipped with two pairs of analog outputs -- RCA and XLR. It also features one digital S/PDIF RCA digital output, which you might use to connect the CD120 as a transport to an external DAC. The IEC power cord is removable... The CD120 features a brushed aluminum finish all around,...At about 26 pounds, 17" wide, just over 11" deep and just over 3" high the sturdy unit feels substantial and meaty for a CD player." "Conclusion: Does the CD120 represent the truth? It clearly projects a sound that very much feels like it could be the truth. Truth, particularly in our digital age, has come to be a synonym for accuracy. High-definition television is often "seen" as truth because of its incredible accuracy. For some this is the Holy Grail -- to these people, the $1200 CD120 will be a bargain and worth every penny."
