(See the product info link next to the words "More Info at" above for AQVOX's website and description of this item.)The German company AQVOX somehow got hold of a batch of old Plextor external CD reader/writer drives that can burn or read at 1x speed. This is mainly useful for computer audio folks who want to rip their CD collections at 1x speed for accuracy. The Plextors are supposed to be good burners, too. I decided I don't need this any more because (1) I never got into computer audio (no need to rip) and (2) my particular transport seems to not like any CD-R, not even the best, so no point to burning CD-R. Note: this is, technically, I believe, an internal drive that is mounted in a case that provides a USB connection. It comes from Germany so you might be wondering about the power supply. It's "universal voltage" but comes with a European-style plug so I cut that off and (in a hazardous way) wired an American plug on it. I'll provide you with the power supply with wires that are bare on the ends, and I've provide the original European plug where I cut it off. At my asking price, I'll accept Paypal without a surcharge and provide free shipping to the Continental US.
