There is nothing "yesterday" sounding about the internal DAC, it has an excellent highly resolving chip in every respect. In addition, this unit also includes an LHY outboard LINEAR POWER SUPPLY versus the inferior switch mode power supply found in the later NODE N132 production version. The LHY upgrade also features LHY's unique power filtering circuit board (pictured) which incorporates an additional 35 Capacitors and 4 Rectifiers which again improves upon every other Linear power supply upgrade kit available out there for the NODE.
