For sale: Metrum Acoustics HEX NOS DAC in mint condition. If you are looking at this ad, you know about all the accolades it has received and it deserves them. I just moved up the Metrum Acoustics line to the Pavane Level 3 and am parting with this one. I am the original owner and purchased it from an authorized Metrum Acoustics dealer. Inputs: 2x optical Toslink, 2x Coaxial (1x BNC and 1x RCA, with an RCA to BNC adapter should you need it), and USB. Outputs: 1 pair RCA, 1 pair XLR. It has a location for the AES/EBU module but that is not installed. It has the upgraded Lundahl output transformers. It handles uncompressed digital bit rates/bit depth up to 24/192, so you can get the benefit of hi-res files if you have them. When I say that it is in mint condition, it is: it looks like it just came out of the box, not a mark or scratch on it. Included is the CD of the manual and USB drivers, the original USB cable, BNC/RCA adapter, and power cord. My asking price is $1650. Buyer to pay insured shipping from 53717 (Madison, WI), I'll pick up the Paypal fee (which is over $50.00). This a superlative natural sounding DAC. For those worried about the company having closed, they are reopening in August with full support for all past Metrum Acoustics products.
