For sale is a compact S.M.S.L. DAC that I bought on ebay earlier this year and used in in my den. It's a nice sounding little dac that uses the popular Burr Brown PCM1793 dac chipset which explains the model name. It uses a DIR9001 low jitter receiver for coaxial and optical input and has the output buffered with an OPA2134 opamp. The opamp is socketed so you could opamp roll if so desired. There's a few reviews of the unit online as well as images of the inside if you're keen on seeing it's internals. I liked the dac quite well. I felt that stock it had a much more open soundstage than the standard Zero dac and was smoother in the upper mids and highs than the SuperPro 707 dac. Overall, a sweet little unit that would be hard to beat for the money. It's all stock except the RCA outputs and Coaxial inputs have been upgraded to better sockets. The stock ones left much to be desired and this was a welcome upgrade. The newer plugs obscures some of the lettering on the back, but you can still read where things are meant to go. --Comes with the stock power supply!-- Price includes USPS flat rate shipping to the lower 48 as well as Paypal fees.
