This is an original pair of Advent Heritage SpeakersThis line is loved for its lack of coloring. Originally, released/manufactured '90/'91, they are known for their affordable price point and exceptional sound quality. This pair is listed in the DIY category with a condition rating of fair because they need to be re-foamed. One speaker has a crack/split in the foam around the lower woofer, I'm assuming, from age and loudness of sound emitted from it. The other speaker has damage to the foam around the middle woofer and, possibly, part of the cone as well as part of the foam on the lower woofer due to a melted candle wax mishap. There is also a little wax on the cover to this speaker, on parts of the finish, and part of the metal of the tweeter. Fortunately, this is all fixable--the foam can be replaced and the wax comes off easily if removed properly. I do not want to damage these at all by improperly cleaning/fixing them, myself, so I am parting with them as-is. If it were not for the wear/damage to the foam, this pair would be listed as in very good to excellent condition. All the other original parts, otherwise, have maintained their integrity. I have not listened to these in couple of years, but when they were my regular speakers, the sound was superb. The MSRP on these is $375. I have seen them sell for $450, $500, or more. A foam kit to repair these would cost around $40. All things considered, my asking price is currently $75. These would be a great DIY project and a worthy addition to the right setup/system. Available for local pick-up or worldwide shipping at buyer's expense, including insurance. Please see the attached review to learn more about the Advent Heritage line of speakers.
