It's hard to beat the quality and cost of James transformers for your SET tube amplifier projects--if you can find them! If you are building a higher wattage amplifier or just want even better bass response and overall quality, all of the tubes listed for the JS-6112HS can be run happily on the larger JS-6123HS with better results.
These transformers were designed with 2A3 and 300B tubes in mind, but there are many tubes that would work well with this versatile transformer since it gives you 2.5k as an option in addition to 3.5k and 5k.
