This ROTEL RA-870 is nearly spotless and performs beautifully. All lights work,
all functions work, no scratchy dials or switches, no ghosts in the
machine! Reasonable offers will be considered.Audio Emporium - a well respected high end dealer since 1977 voted the RA-870 to their Hall Of Fame saying - "1987 - Rotel RA-870 integrated amp - This marvelous
integrated set the stage for many a serious, affordable high end system.
To this day Rotel has great sounding integrateds with real power and
fair prices. The RA-870 was the first to cut the mustard."
Two massive transformers, Alps volume pot, no tone controls, no speaker
selector, very industrial looking, zero extras. This integrated means
business. Circa 1987, Rotel has a reputation of over-building their
equipment. In a time when most manufacturers were building their amps
cheaper and cheaper to hit price points (using copious amounts of
plastic) Rotel was one of very few companies who stayed true to high end
quality. This baby is built like a tank, and is heavy. Includes both
MC and MM for spinning vinyl without an external phono stage - that's
worth a couple hundred bucks by itself! Dual mono design yielding
excellent stereo performance.
