RE Trades: Willing to trade for a dedicated stereo power amp [tubes only] or tube mono- blocks with at least 30 watts/channel AND/OR any other tube amps employing 6973 output tubes. EI: Ampex stereo or mono blocks etc.These were acquired from the estate of a local Radio/TV repair man. They were housed in a dedicated cabinet & are in outstanding original condition. Please see the photos....All original knobs & switches, the silk screened lettering on the face plates are perfect. No scratches,scars or scrapes anywhere. Including the original manuals, schematics and build sheets. Rating these at a conservative 8.5 here. Powered up on a variac, calibration & hum pot adjustments applied at 117 volts AC.
All tubes were tested on calibrated Hickok and tested again for emission on a B&K 606 Dyna Jet. AMP: All signal tubes & GZ34 rectifier tested strong'
Tuner: one weak 12au7 was replaced with a new EH 12au7, as well as a one em84 [tuning indicator tube] All the remaining tubes tested above 90%. All pots & switches cleaned with dioxit. Note: The volume pot on the amp was very scratchy when turned. Much better after cleaned but still a
little noisy in a few spots when turned.
These are plug & play & sound wonderful.
Auditioned through a pair of very efficient [95 db] vintage Diatone full rangers.
Those privy to the beautiful sound of amplifiers employing 6973 output tubes will all tell you the same story[like el84's on steriods] Shipping via Canada Post [insured with tracking number] at buyers expense. The amplifier weighs in a 20 lbs, the tuner at 25 lbs. Thankyou for you interest,
