Original owner since September 2008, using this beautiful 38 wpc integrated amplifier for an average of about 20 hours a week. Recently I bought a much more expensive Audiomat integrated and have decided to sell the Onix.I can’t see a scratch or mark on it. I’ve never used the tube cage but still have it in the original box. The amp will be shipped in its original packaging with its original power cord and Melody tubes (5881 output tubes, and pairs of 12AX7, 6922, and 12AU7 preamp tubes), which only have about 300 hours on them. At my price I’ll also include a quad of used but still strong Valve Art 350B power tubes, a multimeter for biasing whatever power tubes you choose to use (both shown in the first image above), and a PDF file of hundreds of posts of tube rolling discussions from the AV123 forum before it closed down. The 6Moons reviews are unusually enthusiastic in describing this amp as amazing at its price, and I wouldn’t be selling it if I had not found a great deal on my current and much more expensive amp. The Onix has excellent build quality with tight tuneful bass, excellent rhythm and drive, beautiful midrange tone, and accurate highs. I used it with JM Reynaud monitors as well as with vintage Dynaco and KLH speakers, and all of the speakers sounded wonderful with it. This unit was from the last batch sold by AV123, as a next generation model called SP8. This unit is sonically identical to the SP3, with the only electrical difference being that the biasing voltage is calibrated to a different value. As mentioned above the amp will be carefully double boxed in the original cartons. If using PayPal I will split the 3% fee w/ buyer.
