Extremely clean Pathos Classic One MkIII Tube Integrated units (I have two for sale, as I ran them in Mono mode). I strongly suggest that if one has the means they purchase both as a pair for firm price of $3,300. Price of each unit individually is $1,700. The units if placed together work in lockstep for control of individual L/R channels at 170wpc/8 Ohms and 270wpc/4 Ohms. They have been used with the lower efficiency King Sound King III panel speakers with great effectiveness. Extremely conservative condition rating is between 8 and 9, and this is a harsh judgment as is typical for me. Typically buyers have found components in better condition than the rating indicates. The units have a smoked plexiglass top which is subject to micro scratches (and I do mean micro)over time as they are wiped clean, even with soft cloth. There are no significant scratches on the units and the micro scratches are not seen unless upon direct bright light and close inspection, i.e. 1-2 feet away. I believe most sellers would not mention this point, but I am far more particular than most and reveal the entire condition of the units I sell, down to details which others would not mention. These units were not used in sunlight and have no fading. I have the original box, remote, and Owner's Manual for each unit. Each unit will be packed superbly for shipment, and buyer will pay for replacement coverage as part of shipment cost. There are also two exceptionally small imperfections in the front edge of the Chrome transformer housing on each unit, and I would assess their size to be approx. 1/16" or less. The integrity of the Chrome finish has not been compromised. I believe that this also would probably not be mentioned by most sellers. Note that the price at the time of my review was less than the “Original Price” indication in the Ad; I have placed the current price in that field. I am doing so because these units have been used much less than would be expected, as they have sat much of the time while I have reviewed other amps. Whereas a typical amp may see use several times a week or even daily, these would see approximately 1/4 of that amount of use due to other amps being used for reviews. They are far closer to new status than amps of their age. They have been used in a smoke free, pet free dedicated listening room. They have never been serviced nor had a malfunction. I am the sole owner. The wood trim finish is Rosewood. The Classic One MkIII has met with wide acclaim and I found them to be excellent. I used them with many sources and speakers over the years and they performed at a level commensurate with separates costing between $20-40K. See my review of them at Dagogo.com. They are especially desirable with a Class A preamp section and the tubes are quite inexpensive; this integrated is sensitive to tube rolling and you will find a large palate of sound available between tube changes and interconnects/speaker cables. If you are patient in tuning the rig with these amps you can obtain a nearly state of the art performance. Their operation in Mono mode is far superior in every parameter to stereo mode. NOTE: Many people are being taken by sale of MkII units pawned off as MkIII! Even dealerships are misrepresenting (likely mistakenly, or just being lazy with updating the pic on their site) the MkIII as they often show pictures of the MkII. The easiest way to tell the MkIII from previous versions is that the binding posts have plastic shells. If the unit does not have the plastic incorporated into the posts it is not a MkIII.
Most potential buyers end up asking the question anyway, so FYI, I am selling to keep agreement with wife for funding purchase of motorcycle. The sale has nothing to do with satisfaction/operation of the units. I would keep them but I had to sacrifice something to gain the cycle, and integrated amps, while a lovely alternative, are not as flexible in reviewing systems (i.e. preamps, active amplification setups, etc) as stereo or mono amps.
