A VAC Avatar Super, 80W KT88 integrated with a MM phono stage. This is one of only 20 VAC Avatar Super units that were built with the heavy aluminum chasis. I have owned this unit for 7 years. It just got back from VAC where it received a full check-up, upgraded resistors, coupling capacitors plus all new input tubes. The power supply hummed a little bit more than it should and VAC re-set it and made it more quiet than when new. It also has very new genelex gold lion reissues which after a fair amount of tube rolling I have found to be the best in terms of all around sound. I also have the VAC provided updated packing materials. Why am I selling? That is a good question. I have messed around with Shindo which is a very synergistic match with my Devore speakers and despite great trepidation this is a new direction for me to go in.
