Hello, this custom made MC stereo step up transformer was built with the very best quality Shure electronics audio step up transformers that are very expensive. Comparable step up transformers cost well over $1000+. It's very quiet with no hum. Does not add or take anything away from the sound when inline. That's the most important thing in my opinion....It has a primary impedance of 300 ohms and a secondary impedance of 40K ohms, with flat response; +/-1db from 15hz to 18Khz, and 20db of gain.
