Up for sale is a great budget phono preamplifier; The JEC TC-760LC - mm/mc. My analogue rig is modest and seldom used. This JEC was a revelation for me in terms of QPR. Mated with a updated Thorens TD 160, the sound was clear and true.
I actually compared the JEC to a Cambridge Audio 640 P and slightly preferred the JEC. The lower price of the JEC helped, as the 2 units were almost identical in terms of SQ.
I recently purchased a Graham Slee Gram Amp 2, so the JEC is just sitting on the shelf. If you are new to analogue and on a budget, I assure you the JEC is the way to go. It comes complete with box and all the cords and is in excellent condition. Price is $45 with a $5 shipping fee in the USA. (save yourself $30, as a new one cost $80)
