For sale is a nicely built step up transformer (SUT) for use with moving coil (MC) phono cartridges. I purchased this unit from a fellow who frequents Lenco Heaven and the performance and build quality is very good. I used this unit with a Denon DL103R and a Lyra Delos. I switched to a solid state phono preamp with MM / MC switching ability (I know, heresy) and this puppy has been sitting idle for nearly a year. The soundstage I got when I used this SUT with a Cornet2 phono stage was amazing! The only downside is a slight ground hum that I could not fully get rid of. This can be system dependent and you may need to experiment with placement, cables, grounding schemes, etc. The McGohan LT-2 has been described as an Altec or Peerless clone and provides a 150:15k or 1:10 step up based on my brief internet research. Please do your own research before buying. I used this with the above carts and to my ears they were a very nice match - and half or more the cost of an Altec SUT!! Buyer to pay shipping and insurance. Package weighs approximately 1 pound an 9 ounces and is 10" x 7" x 5" If payment is via Paypal, buyer is to include 3 percent fee to purchase price to cover the paypal fee. Thanks! Troy
