Hello. Great sounding Krell preamp. I used to have the integrated amplifier version of this unit and one day I used the Pre-Out into a power amp and was very surprised with the performance. If you’ve seen the preamp board of the integrated, it is very small compared to this preamp. Obviously, a dedicated preamp yields better performance. The sound is what you’d expect from Krell and something you might not. It is very open and airy. Midrange is very uncolored and accurate. Bass is amazing with speed and control but what you might not expect is a slight sweetness in the sound due to it being a Class A operating mode. A wonderful sounding unit that would compare with multi thousand-dollar units today. Truly an incredible value in today’s very expensive hi-end audio hobby. It includes a Krell credit card size remote that has a lot of use. I will also include a Logitech Harmony universal programmable remote that operates all the functions of the preamp with the ability to add more devices to it. In my opinion, it’s easier to hold and use than the original remote. The unit is in amazing condition. I can’t find any obvious flaws. It has been cleaned inside and out.
