Sell for: $1795 (plus shipping & paypal fees)It is with great reluctance that I am putting up this very special Oracle DAC 1000 Preamp for sale. Legendary Oracle Audio is best known for excellence in their beautiful turntables and CD players. This DAC and preamp, however, has been an equally amazing and hidden gem in their line. You don't see these come up for sale very often. I'm the original owner since late in 2009. It is in excellent condition and maintained in a smoke-free, kid-free environment. It is both an exceptional DAC and preamp and can easily serve either function independently. I used it as both DAC and preamp with multiple input sources: a Squeezebox Touch via spdif disital, a CD transport via AES/EBU xlr digital, my phono preamp via analog inputs and my HT receiver via analog inputs set in bypass mode. See the manual and specs for all possible input/output options. It is a highly flexible and well designed component that looks every bit as good as it sounds and it sounds incredible. Switching between sources and options was also a breeze with the excellent remote carved from a solid block of aluminum (see pic). Of course, it can be controlled from the front panel as well.
