This is an Audio Note Kits M2 line preamp with the M3 phono in one chassis, with PREMIUM parts all-thru (tant resistors, copper caps) and a top of the line DACT attenuator.I bought it from the original owner who had it built by Audio Note about four years ago. Before the sale, two months ago, he had it checked-out by Audio Note experts (and all-around tube gurus) Deja Vu Audio. It is dead quiet (the line & phono) and sounds *excellent*. (I built my own L3 line - the higher-end line model with output transformers - a few years ago and am nearly certain it did not sound this good.) The phono stage is so quiet I was able to use it even with a LOMC cart (.5 mV) with no SUT into my 98 dB/W speakers with only a bit of hiss - entirely acceptable. (Of course there are very, very few phono stages that have enough gain & are quiet enough to use with a LOMC cart with no step-up transformers or SS step-up device.) I am selling it because I have once again simplified to an integrated (Oto). The total cost of the kits with upgraded parts & build fee was about $4000. To get this level of quality in an AN factory preamp would cost much, must more. Overall condition is excellent, and the built quality is excellent. NO ISSUES of any kind.
