BAT VK 5i Asking $2200 or best offer The Bat VK 5i is very well made even down to the remote which is made from a solid Aluminum billet. The face plate is milled from a 3/8” piece of Aluminum just using the knobs and switches you can feel it is a quality item. The 5i is a fully balanced preamp with 5 XLR inputs and 3 XLR outputs. It has 2 Tung-sol (made in America) 5881’s and 8 Amperex Orange Globe (made in Holland) 6DJ8/ ECC88’s. It is in mint condition with not a mark on it and comes with its original box, power cord, manual, remote and also a tool kit which includes 1 Allen wrench for the feet, 1 Torx wrench for the top cover screws and a spare fuse. There are 2 pr of adaptors incase you only have RCA interconnects, I pr accepts your RCA’s and connects to the inputs and the other pr connects to the outputs and accepts your RCA’s to your power amp. This will get you up and running till you can get XLR cables. This preamp has given me much pleasure, it is very musical and you can listen to it for hours without fatigue. I was using it to drive a pr of VTL 450 MB’s which it did with ease and the volume knob never got past 28 out of 99.The only reason I am selling it is because I had a preamp custom made and I don’t have another system to put this one in.
