Fantastic, rare and collectible David Berning TF-10 preamplifier in very good to excellent condition in silver. Preamp holds its own against newer way costlier high end preamps and is way more versatile. Multiple inputs, separate volume and gain controls - you would have to search far and wide to find this combination of sound quality, reliability, versatility and value. Preamp works perfectly and was just cleaned and lubricated. I hear more details with this preamp than any other I have heard. Three phono inputs (all moving magnet) adjustable separate gain with volume - just wonderful sounding. This piece was thoughtfully designed and when you use it you appreciate all the features and nuances of David Berning's design.
Tubes are sold as is, all work but I do not have access to a tube tester, the lettering is faded so not sure how old. Berning designs his preamps for tube life of 10,000 - 20,000 hours minimum are expected. Tubes are 12au7 and 12ax7. Innovative designer David Berning engineered, and hand built this preamplifier. His products hold their value and appreciate over time because of how well designed and well made they are. You hear more details and more of the music from Berning's amps and preamps.
